Keeping a sharp and clear mind is a priceless gift. I have found that by keeping active physically and socially my mind tends to be not only clearer but is stimulated enough to give me new ideas to be addressed at a later date. I am sure that my mind could use improvement like most people. Some people may need to learn to exercise their mind in order to slow the rate of dementia and alzheimers but is it just a stopgap?
I would think that proper mental exercise, physical stimulation, social interaction and proper nutrition would be most valuable in preventing the mental degradation we currently see in our society. There are many thoughts on this matter and more will be forthcoming in the future but we must make our decisions based on what we feel is best for each of us.

This is a good topic for the world we live in. We are all very busy with thousands of things on our minds. I regularly look for my glasses although they are on my head. But I work three jobs in a day. One regular, the next when I come home and my online work at night. I also have a family, two small kids and pets.
However, this is not a justification. I have always thought that the more you employ your brain the faster and better it will work. But from this, it seems that my brain has limits and needs some rest or maybe a different kind of exercise.
