Just Diagnosed with Type II Diabetes?  Don’t Worry, We Can Help You Reverse It!

Dear Friend!

It’s always a scary thing to hear when you are told that you have diabetes.  Usually, it comes as a shock, and generally via a yearly blood test, unless you have had other symptoms.

You probably haven’t had any symptoms, and this is why when the doctor tells you that you have diabetes, your stomach just drops!  I know mine did.

I knew that I had gained a lot of weight that year.  I also didn’t have any family history of diabetes, so when the doctor told me I had diabetes, I almost fell off the chair.

At the same time, she rambled off, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, of which I knew about, but basically, I felt like I was in a game of Space Invaders from the eighties!  I was trying to dodge every single thing she seemed to be shooting at me!

It was a very disheartening few minutes, and I felt very scared.  The doctor barely paused for a breath as she went on to tell me everything that was wrong with my blood test.

She said I needed to lose weight…

Cut out potatoes, rice, pasta, and bread!

Told me, if I lost 40 lbs., and did what she said, I could most likely reverse it.  Then she said, I’ll see you in three months, and walked out of the room.

Then I found out she retired the following week!!!

I felt uninformed, and a little betrayed, and out on my own.

First of all, I couldn’t figure out how all this came about.  My good cholesterol had always outweighed any high cholesterol, but gaining weight certainly sent that through the roof.

At least that’s what I concluded.  The doctor didn’t hang around to help or discuss anything with me, and I would imagine she had lost interest since she was retiring the following week.  I had been a patient for 28 years…

People disappoint you, don’t they?

So, in a bit of a daze, I walked out of the doctor’s office, and got into my car, and sat there for a few minutes, just trying to digest it all.  I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.  I’d been thrown into another world as far as I was concerned.  What was going to happen to me?  They didn’t even give me any informational brochures, written information, or any internet resources to look into.

I bet you got more information than I did!  I truly hope you were treated better than I was.

Anyway, I did a lot of research, and a lot of it was too “medical” for me.  I just wanted informed, simple, basic information that would teach me how to take care of myself and help me learn what I should and should not eat.

I would figure out the rest eventually, but I needed a “starting point”, somewhere to go!

I was so happy to find this downloadable eBook, that was concise and to the point, but packed full of information that I could immediately put to use.
